10 Best areas to Stay in Ibiza for Couples are:

1. Ibiza Town

Ibiza Town is the capital of the island and is the best overall area to stay in Ibiza for couples who want a well-rounded location with a combination of romantic ambiance, cultural attractions, nightlife, shopping, and dining.

Located on the island’s southeast coast, Ibiza Town (Eivissa in Catalan) is only a short drive by car from Ibiza airport, and it is well-connected to the rest of the island by bus.

Ibiza Town along with Playa d’en Bossa and Sant Antoni is one of the best towns on the island for party goers and nightlife. It has a wide range of bars, restaurants, and nightclubs, especially the area around the port and Marina Botafoch.

The most well-known nightclub in Ibiza Town is the world-famous Pacha nightclub. You can also easily do bar hopping to visit more big nightclubs in Playa d’en Bossa, San Rafael, and San Antonio, by discobus night bus during summer months.

In addition to the lively nightlife scene, couples can explore the romantic Old Town to see historical and cultural landmarks together. Ibiza’s old town (Dalt Vila) is located on the upper part of town, offering stunning views over the city and the harbor.

The Old Town is surrounded by a 16th century wall, and is home to many narrow, cobbled streets, churches, museums, and squares. You can stop by one of many terrace restaurants, bars, and shops around  Plaza de Vila square to grab a meal and a drink and enjoy the view.

While in Old Town, be sure to take a look for the Ses Taules city gate, the Ibiza Cathedral, the Castle of Ibiza, and the Church of Santo Domingo.

If you are history buffs or art enthusiasts, you can visit the Museu d’Art Contemporani d’Eivissa,  the Archaeological Museum, Puig des Molins Punic Necropolis, and Monographic Museum.

For shoppers, I recommend checking out the area around Passeig de Vara de Rey and Plaza del Parque square, where you can find a variety of shops, restaurants, cafes, and bars. There are also hippy markets in the La Marina borough at the waterfront area.

Ibiza Town offers a wide range of dining options, from traditional Spanish cuisine to international flavors. You can enjoy romantic candlelit dinners at waterfront restaurants or explore the vibrant food scene in the town center.

A romantic gateway cannot be completed without the beaches. Ibiza Town offers easy access to nearby beautiful sandy beaches of Ses Figueretes, Talamanca, and En Bossa beach, where you can relax, sunbathe, and take romantic walks along the shore.

These beaches have crystal clear clean water and beach facilities such as sun loungers, and parasols for rent. There are lots of restaurants and beach bars along the beachfront promenade to refresh. It’s worth noting that Ibiza Town can get crowded during the peak tourist season, especially in the summer months. If you prefer a quieter and more relaxed experience, you might consider visiting during the shoulder seasons, such as spring or early autumn.
